Hendersonville, NC – Whitley Home Medical Equipment will enlist the help of the local Hendersonville, Asheville and surrounding areas to honor the memory of our fallen veterans on this Memorial Day, May 26, 2014.
Whitley HME invites local residents on Friday May 23rd and Saturday May 24th to pick up a free flower to place on the grave of a veteran in any cemetery. Residents who don’t have a deceased family member who is a veteran, they are encouraged to take a flower and decorate the grave of ANY veteran to honor and remember them.
Whitley HME is limited to 250 flowers and the offer is good while supplies last. The flowers will be ordered from Memorial Day Flowers Foundation, who will place 150 additional roses on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery.
“We think that this is a great opportunity for us to honor the people who have served and to honor our fallen heroes,” said John Falk, II, President of Whitley Home Medical. Mr. Falk added “our local community is free to pick up a free rose and is not required to purchase anything from our store. This is a way for us to give back to the WNC residents who have given us so much over the years.”
